HOW CITIES MAKE

DEVELOPMENT DECISIONS

Here’s some information on a current redevelopment project in the City of West Allis:  West Allis Development Project.   Did you ever wonder how these projects are done?  Who starts the process?  How the financing is obtained?  What the city does to encourage the development?  How it helps the taxpayers?  Who is in charge?  Who is the driving force?  What factors can make or break a proposed development?  Municipalities throughout our area are faced with these decisions every day.

If you ever wondered about this process, join us for an inside look at how the City of West Allis makes these decisions.  John Stibal, Director of City Development, will speak to us about the process and its potential benefits to the community.

Looking for help

There are many tasks, both small and large, which require volunteers from the Chapter.  If you can offer some time to the Chapter, on a one-time only or on a monthly basis, please click on the Team Leader’s name and send them an email letting them know which task you are interested in, and your availability.  For monthly tasks, if you can’t do every month, but can do one or more, then let us know that as well.
